This kitchen scale will be replacing my current digital kitchen scale which I use for baking and occasionally for weighing mail for postage. It's a bit more compact at 5.75" by 7" and 0.5" thick. It measures up to 5 kilograms/11 lbs. The top is made of a stylish, durable and scratch-resistant tempered glass, and the rest is plastic making it lightweight at 12.5oz. There are 4 rubber feet on the bottom to keep it still on a flat surface.

Note that you need to remove the battery and then the plastic battery saver tab before you use it; the tab cannot be removed with the CR2032 coin cell battery installed. The functions like power, tare, and changing the units are touch sensitive buttons to the right and left of the LCD display. The power button doubles as the tare button to re-zero the scale when you touch it. This is useful for using a prep bowl and measuring ingredients directly into it. To turn off the unit, touch and hold the power button until the LCD shuts off.

I compared the measurements on this scale to my other digital kitchen scale and found them to be accurate with similar results. On occasion, the readings were a little different by 1 or 2 grams. This scale can also display units in ounces, milliliters, fluid ounces, grams and lbs + ounces. It does not display fractions of lbs in decimal nor kilograms. Sometimes the measurements take a few seconds to settle, or fluctuate seemingly at random; however, placing items on the center of the scale resulted in faster, more consistent readings so I think it has to do with the scale being balanced and the surface it is sitting on being steady and level.
