My 82 year old mother wanted to make an old-fashioned pineapple cake like her mother used to bake for the church Christmas party. This is an old-fashioned recipe and is so simple to make. We are using two 9-inch circular cake pans. If you want to make this pineapple cake like my grandmother and mother, watch this video.

:35 Ingredients
1:08 stir it up cake mix
1:20 Spray the pan
1:40 pouring the batter
4:00 making pineapple frosting
4:41 flip the layered cake
5:50 pinapple layering
9:10 frosting the cake
10:42 close-up

~Speedy Pineapple Cake Recipe~
1 box of cake mix
1 can of crushed pineapples, including juice (divided)
2 eggs
1/4 cups of cooking oil
Combine all the ingredients (above) completely: then pour into a greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Cool, then add frosting (instructions below).

~Pineapple Frosting~
1 can of white frosting
1 stick butter (room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
remaining 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple (remaining 8 ounce can pineapple juice)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Mix butter and extract(s) first- then add powdered sugar.
