In this video we explore the head balloki on the Ravi River and its outlet canals. The head balloki were built on the Ravi River in 1915 as part of the Triple Canal Project. The purpose of constructing this headworks was to irrigate the districts of Okara and Sahiwal But after the Indus Basin Agreement in 1960, a BS Link Canal was constructed from the Ravi River to meet the shortage of water in the Sutlej River.
