The European SharePoint, Office365 and Azure conference took place in November 2022 in Copenhangen. I attended as a speaker & was there from the opening keynote to the closing afternoon - 3 days in all.
The video briefly covers my journey to Copenhagen before getting into the Keynote. Before the keynote was an amazing pre-show to really grab everyone's attention and get them fired up and ready for the headline speaker: Jeff Teper - President Collaborative Apps & Platforms at Microsoft.
Jeff spoke first and then invited onto the stage Cathy Dew to talk about some of the improvements made to Microsoft Teams (including performance), then Adam Harmetz who showed some great demos. There was a powerful demo involving SharePoint Lists where dates in a list were automatically converted into a calendar. Then, we were treated to a look at the Microsoft Loop App, which is currently in private preview. Chris (and then Jeff) talked through the Loop roadmap and when other related components would appear.
Next up was Chris McNulty who gave a compelling Microsoft Syntex demo showing the first-party eSignature support now available. To finish the keynote, Jeff Teper spoke a little about Microsoft Graph.
After the keynote I went to a few sessions (Paula Januszkiewicz and Vesa Nopanen) and then hit the Expo Floor to explore and enjoy some lunch. In the afternoon I enjoyed a session by Yannick Reekmans and an AMA by a group of Microsoft execs and staffers from Redmond and elsewhere: it was great to be able to ask direct questions to Jeff Teper, Scott Hanselman and more.
In the evening, I went to Tivoli Gardens for some Christmas entertainment, which was lovely.
Day 2 for me was sessions, including Andrew Brust, Bert Jansen and Scott Hanselman. The day ended with the famous ESPC Attendee Party: this year was at Wallman's Circus and featured a 3-course meal with immersive entertainment and a sing-along. I left before the dancing started as I had to get home and catch up on some sleep!
The final day started with a session by Vesa Juvonen and then it was time for my own session. Time for a quick look around and then home.
