A easy walk in terms of underfoot, elevation and navigation.
Start at Broompark in County Durham DH7 7RW, then follow the old railway lines to Crook Town DL15. There are a few road crossings but the old railway lines start immediately on the other side. You pass a few villages where you can stop off for a coffee or pint somewhere.
The route is quite busy with walkers, runners, cyclists, and horse riders. It is suitable for buggy’s and prams.
A few steep bits but generally flat.
