Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 Bottle Gourd (500 grams size)
1/4 cup Besan
1 tsp Green Chilli (finely chopped)
1 tsp Ginger ( finely chopped)
1 tsp Garlic (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
1 tsp Red Chilly powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
1/4 cup Onion (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 cup Onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 Garam Masala
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Cashew
1 cup Tomato (pieces)
1 cup Water
1 tbsp Fresh Cream
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
Method:
This recipe prepared in the following 3 steps:
Step 1: Prepare Kofta
Step 2: Prepare Tomato Cashew Gravy
Step 3: Prepare Kofta Recipe
Step 1: Prepare Kofta:
1. Take a small bottle gourd, peel & grate it.
2. Squeeze & separate extra water, transfer into a bowl.
3. Add the following items, besan, finely chopped green chilli pieces, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped garlic, chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, turmeric powder, masala, finely chopped onion. Now mix well.
4. Prepare round kofta balls and keep in a bowl.
5. Deep fry these kofta balls in hot oil on medium flame till they turn golden brow. Then Transfer into a bowl and keep aside.
Step 2: Prepare Tomato Cashew Gravy:
6. Add tomato pieces & soaked cashews into a mixer jar. Grind into paste.Transfer into a bowl and keep aside.
Step 3: Prepare Kofta Recipe:
7. Place a pan on stove & add oil & ghee.
8. Now add cumin seeds and onon pieces. Fry till onion pieces turn golden color.
9. Add red chilli powder, garlic ginger paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt. Fry these items for 1 minute on medium flame.
10. Add tomato cashews paste. Cook on medium flame till oil separates. Add 1 cup water & mix well.
11. Cover with lid & cook for 5 min on low flame. Add fried kofta. Mix well & cook for 5 min on low flame.
12. Add 1 tbsp coriander leaves & fresh cream.
13. Transfer to a bowl.
14. Lauki Kofta Curry is ready.
