One of the most common questions I get as The Paramedic Coach, is how old is too old to work EMS or on the ambulance service?
I always respond with the same answer that age is just a number, it is your health, willingness to learn new skills, and overall fitness that matters more than age.
This EMS unit out of Sun City, FL is a perfect example of what great training, communication, and positivity result in. This all-volunteer unit of EMTs is staffed by many in their 60's, 70's, 80's and some even work until their 90's!
