Sacramento Sheriff Jim Cooper wants to see more done with homeless issue

Описание: Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper says very few people experiencing homelessness are accepting services for help. On Wednesday, Cooper held a news conference to talk about the situation. "Homelessness is the number one issue in California,” Cooper said. "The folks that want help we've helped.” But unfortunately, Cooper says not many are taking the sheriff’s office up on the offer. During a five-day period in May, the department’s Homeless Outreach Team talked with 198 people. Only one of them chose to get help. KCRA 3's Jason Marks reports.
