Vice President Jessica Alupo has sailed through unopposed as the NRM chairperson for veteran affairs in Katakwi District after her two challengers, Col. Basil Amodoi and Private Charles Ikabat, withdrew from the race out of respect for the vice president and in adherence to the army’s code of conduct.
Also elected unopposed was the state minister for education and MP for Ngariam County, Peter Ogwang, after his challengers similarly stepped aside.
