Joost en Ruth are both experienced professional pilots. In this video you can see Ruth landing a Boeing 737 at MUN Munich airport, compared to a MAF Kodiak landing on two very challenging airstrips in Papua, Indonesia.
Joost de Wit and Ruth de Wit - van der Ploeg gave up their airline pilot careers to serve people in need.
Together with their children Naud and Annemijn, they now live in Kenya and fly the Cessna Caravan as voluntary bush pilots for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) to bring help, hope and healing to the most isolated places in Africa.
