In 1926 Irving Berlin was asked for a song for a Broadway play. Berlin wrote "Blue Skies", The song was a hit, sadly the play was not. The next year Al Jolson sang the song in the film "The Jazz Singer". This was the first time that audio was combined with film and history was made!
I love this song, it's optimistic with a touch of melancholy!
