Ham Radio operators are familiar with the dipole antenna, It forms the basis of many ham radio antenna designs. Here, Peter G3OHV demonstrates a variant of the basic dipole. It's very easy to build and is great for a small garden or portable work. As it's fed from one end there is no feeder hanging down. It's a great weekend project that costs very little. Peter also goes on to describes some additional options.
