1. Measure 10 strands of yarn 2.2m long and 1 strand 60cm long for the hanger
2. Tie the 60 cm strand to the edges of the dowel rod
3. Fold the 2.2m strand in half and use the loop to tie a larks head knot
4. Group the strands in two's
5. Use 4 strands to create a square knot
6. Take the strand on the left and place it over the middle two, then under the right strand
7. Then take the right-hand strand and tuck it under the middle two
8. Repeat this process for the rest of the groups of two
9. Move 5cm down and continue making square knots leaving the edge two strands out
10. Continue in a triangle pattern downwards leaving the edge strands loose
11. Repeat until you have reached one knot on the row
12. Trim the strands to the desired length
13. Add a small amount of water in the tie-dye bottle
14. Add a bit more water to the dye
15. Now dip in the ends of the strands
16. Hang to dry
