This will stick with me for the rest of my life. My scariest moment in all of my long distance hiking.
Though this is a very real moment, I want to stress how extremely rare things like this are, as typically up in the mountains you will only find the nicest of people. It is when you venture back into the city where lazy criminals prey. NOT deep in the woods on long distance trails, despite the ghost stories around the campfire would lead you to believe.
In the entire 5,000 mile hike talked about in the video, this was my only negative experience, and it happened in town!
