Welcome! Come join for some motivation and accountability! Here we follow the 50/10 Pomodoro method, where we work for 50 minutes and then take a 10 minute break to chat, relax, craft and play puzzles! (we're obsessed with jumble words...) We vote on which sounds to listen to during the stream and what we want to do in the breaks.

I am an astrophysics PhD student in my third year at the University of Auckland. I am AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) so this stream helps to keep me accountable and focused on the tasks I need to get done, so join me for some body doubling! I work in a shared office and will sometimes have to go to meetings, talks and seminars, but you get to see what my real workday as a PhD student looks like!

My PhD is purely theoretical and computational, so I do lots of coding. My research looks at gravitational wave physics in relation to supermassive black holes and the future Laser Interferometer Space Antenna, as well as primordial black holes.

I am also a part-time lecturer for a first year astronomy course with 200 students, so you'll find me doing lots of lecture prep, too!

I did my undergraduate and masters in the UK, where I grew up, and then moved to New Zealand for my PhD.
