NC500 Part 7, Mossbank Croft, Gretna Green, The Kelpies, Troutbeck Head Club Campsite

Описание: Day 12, flying by. At Mossbank Croft, little CL site, near Arisaig. Fully serviced pitch. No toilets or showers. Sea to the back of us, mountains to the front. Had a lie in today. Watched You Tube, and pigged out. Chocolate, crisps and nuts. Croissant for breakfast. We must unlock the doors properly. Bench on every pitch. Distance, we can see the sea. Had visitors, 'morning guys', very dirty. 'See you later fellas.' Making our way to The Kelpies at Falkirk. Coming out of Fort William. Water and mountains in the background. Still all very pretty. Sheep on the mountains, or were they goats? Saw another man playing the bagpipes. We stopped as there was a burger van. On our way to Falkirk, it's like being in The Fens, all flat. £10 for overnight parking. Saw baby swans on the path. Saw The Kelpies, hugh. Quarter past nine, hang your washing on the line. Motorhome city. Old and new, vans, A class all down here. Just gone 10 o'clock, Kelpies look really pretty. Nice light night tonight...

Day 13, whizzing by. Busy car park, motorhomes, cars and dog walkers. Ticked that off our list. Off to Troutbeck Head campsite at Penrith, Cumbria. Via Gretna Green. Hoping for a McDonalds breakfast at the Golden Archies, Alledale Water Services. At Gretna Green, gonna get married... Blacksmiths shop. Food places, gift shops. Another man playing the bagpipes. We went inside to look at the 'original, real anvil'. Jackie's in the gift shop, can't get her out. Found her looking at Tunnocks. Finally he gets her moving. More gift shops and food. Just got to get her through the archway and make sure she follows me. At the car park, actually made it. She's found another shop. Crisps, potato cakes, scotch eggs. Lots of tunnocks. At last sign posts. Fish and chip Friday. Weather is baking, rain at home. So sunny. We did buy pasties at the service station, £5-50 each. Birds singing, sun is shining. Walk round the site.
