Have you ever heard or seen the Disney movie Pocahontas? Then you've probably heard the name John Smith. Unbeknownst to many travelers to Bermuda, the revered soldier, captain, and saver of Jamestown has a beach named after him in the Bermuda. This video dives - ever so briefly - into the history of the man and aims to debunk some of the myths associated with him. Also, my aim is to bring attention to the beach named in his likeness. John Smith's Bay may never be on a "Top 10 beaches of the world list," but it's snorkeling, secluded nature, clear water, and easy accessibility would give most beaches a run for their money.
