1997 Freightliner FLD120. This is one off 2 FLD120's I own and both come from the Portland Oregon factory and were assembled in 1997 and imported to South Africa as left hand drive vehicles. In 1997 it was still legal to import LHD vehicles into South Africa, where we drive on the left hand side of the road and the vehicles are suppose to be right hand drive. After the trucks came into the country, legislation changed and LHD vehicles were no longer allowed to be registered to be on the roads.
I got 2 very special trucks, where both trucks got sequential VIN numbers which means that the one was behind the other on the assembly line in 1997.
It is still registered as a LHD vehicle and work pulling containers in the Cape Town area.
