NORTHERN LIGHTS IN NORWAY | LUXURY LODGE | DOG SLEDDING (Aurora Borealis at Lyngen Lodge)

Описание: I’ve been looking forward to making this video about Lyngen Lodge in Norway for two years now and it did not disappoint. What an incredible experience! Thank you to everyone at Lyngen and all the great people we met there! Spoiler alert: we saw the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)! WOW!

Let’s start from the beginning:
We all arrived in Tromsø and got picked up by Lyngen Lodge at the airport. We traveled for around 3 hours by car and ferry before we arrived at the lodge. We got settled in, organised our luggage, had some snacks and drinks before our very first dinner. There is a chef in the lodge that makes all the food and it was absolutely amazing! We had gravlax as a starter, reindeer for mains and an apple crumble for dessert. YUM! It definitely felt like a proper luxury hotel. We had an early night before the next day's activity.

The next day we woke up to heavy snow but a delicious breakfast, everything you could possibly want! Around 8am we were all ready to drive to Riverland Husky to do dog sledding. I have never done it before and was thrilled I was not going to do dog sledding in Norway, my home country! There we were two people on each sled where one steered it to the camp and one back. What an experience going through the woods with that view! At Camp Riverland Husky they had hot coffee and glogg (gløgg) for us to enjoy and reindeer stew for lunch. I would 100% recommend doing dog sledding in Norway, I loved it! The dogs are also really happy and healthy dogs living in the environment they are meant for. By the time we were leaving the sky cleared up and our hope of seeing Northern Lights, also called Aurora Borealis, were stronger than ever.

Back at the lodge we had a little rest before it was our time to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi. We even had a little snow bath, freezing cold but a lot of fun. Next up was dinner and by the time we finished the sky cleared up completely and the Northern Lights gave us a spectacular show. Even though I am Norwegian this was my first time seeing it and we felt so very lucky. Could not have asked for a better ending to an absolutely perfect day.
