This video tells the true historical story of Boota Singh, son of Wasan Singh (Caste: Tothar) from Village Jallan, District Gujranwala, Punjab (now in Pakistan).
Before the Partition of 1947, his family owned about 80 acres of agricultural land in the village. Through this documentary-style vlog, we explore the ancestral homes, fields, and memories connected to Sikh families who once lived here.
The purpose of this video is to preserve Punjab’s shared heritage and to show the younger generation the real locations of their ancestors’ villages (pind). Many Sikh families around the world — India, Canada, UK, and USA — have roots in Gujranwala district.
