Days 1 & 2 of introducing Carlotta (the stray chicken) to my existing flock of 11 hens. My hens are coming up on their 3rd year here, so they're pretty well established in their pecking orders. Adding a singleton new hen might be a bit tricky.
I got to witness some fighting behavior for the first time, and it was not what I had expected. 😳
