The Hi Ride Rail Guidance System from Harrybilt Engineering was developed in response to customer feedback from the rail industry, where the ability to lift a rail machine clear of train stops when travelling can significantly improve productivity.
This video demonstrates the Hi Ride System in operation, showing a Standard Gauge configuration using a friction drive mode for controlled on-track movement.
The RGS Hi Ride system is AS7502 compliant and features integrated disc service brakes, fail-safe tread brakes on the rail wheels, and a direct-drive rail guidance system for improved stability, pulling power, and stopping performance. A compliant twist mechanism is incorporated to suit each machine configuration, along with a revised load chart.
