Cycling "Le Tour de Bourgogne" in 6 days - Day 2
In May 2024 I cycled the "Tour de Bourgogne a Velo" in the Burgundy region of France.
A very pleasant ride and perfect for people who want to avoid the "hassle" of the transportation of bicycle and cyclist back to the starting point of a tour
I stayed in hotels for 2 nights and camped for 3 nights.
Highlights:
Cycling infrastructure
Availability of eating / sleeping / shopping options
Mostly easy cycling, a bit more strenuous in the stretch from Beaune to Paray le Monial
Beautiful gentle scenery, specially in the wine region after Baune.
In this video you can see the second day of this trip where I ride from Pacy sur Armancon to Dijon along the Canal de Bourgogne.
It was a rainy and cold day on the bike. I did however still enjoy this day very much, mostly because of the gentle landscape and some interesting sights along the way:
