Iran Accuses U.S. Of ‘Reckless Military Adventure’ Amid Strait Of Hormuz Escalation

Описание: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the U.S. of choosing a “reckless military adventure” whenever diplomatic solutions appear possible, amid rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on X, Araghchi said Iranians would “never bow to pressure” as clashes between both sides intensified despite an existing ceasefire arrangement.
The confrontation escalated after the U.S. accused Iran of attacking American warships using missiles, drones, and small boats, while Tehran alleged that U.S. forces targeted Iranian vessels and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command also announced that American forces disabled two Iranian-flagged oil tankers allegedly violating an ongoing naval blockade.
Despite the renewed hostilities, President Donald Trump insisted the ceasefire remains intact and said negotiations aimed at ending the conflict are continuing. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington is expecting a response from Tehran to U.S. proposals, while Trump warned Iran of stronger military action if an agreement is not reached quickly.
