2023 Annular Solar Eclipse (October 14) - Preview and Planning

Описание: October 14, 2023 an Annular Solar Eclipse is coming to the United States. An annular eclipse occurs when the moon is further out in its orbit and does not complete cover the Sun's disk - creating an 'annulus' (ring), hence the term 'annular' eclipse. Not as spectacular as a Total Solar Eclipse, but still worth checking out. And, the path of annularity crosses some of the most spectacular parts of the southwestern United States- including several national parks and the Albuquerque, NM Balloon Fiesta. Also, October 14, 2023 is a Saturday - right in the middle of one of the best weather months of the year and (possibly) during Fall Break. This eclipse might be worth checking out simply because of the location and timing! I also share some tips for safely viewing the eclipse as you'll need eye protection for the entire eclipse.
