After using my Apple Watch for the last year of surf travels across the globe - including The Maldives, South Africa, Mozambique, Australia and Indonesia I'm stoked to have finally figured out how to turn my Apple Watch into the ultimate surf accessory!

⛔️ SEPT 2019 UPDATE – WHERE IS SURFACE?! ⛔️

I’ve had a few messages and comments lately about people not being able to find Surface in their local App Store.

I’ve been trying to find an alternative but so far I’ve not found an app which will offer the same complications on the Apple Watch.

🎉 JAN 2020 UPDATE - SURFACE IS NOW SURF WATCH! 🎉

After a whole heap of messages from people trying to find an alternative to Surface I unfortunately hit a dead end - which was even more infuriating as I upgraded my iPhone and lost access to it myself too!

Cheers to Alex in the comments though who in January 2020 gave me a heads up that Surface is back in the App Store (well the UK one at least!) but under the new name of SURF WATCH and I can confirm that I've been able to reinstall it and it's working as normal!

⌚️ Which Apple Watch Band? ⌚️

Although personally I've been using the standard Apple Sports band whilst surfing I've now met a few people who have unfortunately lost theirs whilst surfing. One of these people has now switched over to the Apple Sports Loop which he said he's had no issues with and is much more secure. So I too have now swapped over to one!

Although with the release of Apple Watch Series 6 I opted to upgrade to the Solo Loop which looks like the perfect option for surfing with the Apple Watch
