As the town unravels, teacher Justine Gandy (Julia Garner), police officer Paul (Alden Ehrenreich), and desperate parent Archer (Josh Brolin) are drawn into the terrifying web that leads back to Aunt Gladys, whose motives are as twisted as they are terrifying. We jumped during the ritual scenes, shuddered when Gladys’ influence over the kids became clear, and screamed during the confrontation in the basement. The way Gladys manipulates bodies, mind, and life itself is beyond creepy — she’s not just a villain, she’s nightmares made of flesh!! Watching Weapons together was both terrifying and fascinating — our parent/child relationship was strengthened for sure! The emotional weight of the children’s trauma, the heartbreaking revelations about Alex, and the chilling twist ending all left us breathless.
