When I think about this song, I think about two people who’ve been hurt in different ways, who’ve carried disappointment and fear like second skin… yet still reach for each other anyway. I think about redemption. I think about the bravery it takes to let someone see the soft pieces of you, the pieces you’ve protected for too long.
