This Small Volcano Produced the Largest Eruption in 100+ Years

Описание: Hundreds of square miles rendered uninhabitable, more than a dozen magnitude 6 earthquakes, and a massive volcano that collapsed. This is the story of Novarupta's 1912 eruption in Alaska, which to this day stands as the largest explosive volcanic eruption since Krakatau's 1883 eruption. Novarupta is a little known volcano, despite the fact its last eruption caused ash to fall as far away as Seattle and Vancouver. It is today located within Katmai National Park with its abundant grizzly bear population.
