My Nightmare Renting Experience in Germany: Wunderflats and Illegal Sublets

Описание: This year I had a nightmare experience when I used wunderflats.com to book a subletted department in Hamburg Germany. The sublet turned out to be an illegal sublet of a social housing unit owned by SAGA.  I sought assistance through the local Tenants Association, the Housing office, the Police and attorneys or lawyers.  in the end I had over €7000 of damages from having to leave early and all the work that I did to get a work permit a residence permit in apartment and everything went down the drain.  I did have good two good experiences using this booking site before, but this time even with notifying them prior to moving in and during my tenancy that this may be an illegal sublet they were dismissive and neglectful of their  responsibilities to consumers into myself as a renter. I did get my service feedback but I still haven’t got my deposit back and I have damages. this is just to warn others to be very careful about what booking agency you use to get an apartment and to be vigilant about that.
