Last week, I had the chance to visit Bogota for the first time. I know that many people would think twice before traveling to Bogota because of safety reasons. I was not sure what to expect when I arrived to be honest but I can truly say that Bogota is a safe place to visit and just like many other cities, you just have to be careful. I used Uber a lot of times and walked in the streets of Old Town alone and did not feel unsafe. I like that Bogota has a stable weather (between 10 and 20 degrees) often described as eternal spring and that so many people train like they jog and hike and make sure they stay fit which is a very good thing. Of course, it lies 2,640 meters above sea level so altitude sickness can be a problem for some people. In case you are traveling to Bogota, here are some of the things I visited which is a part of the guided tour I took (except the Botero Museum and Gold Museum which I did alone.)
