TGA is a congenital heart disease in which the heart's largest arteries, the aorta and the pulmonary arteries, are switched. This causes an abnormal pattern of blood flow in which the body doesn't get enough oxygenated (red) blood. Experts from the Cardiac Center at The Children's Hospital first explain how the normal heart works in the fetus and the changes the heart undergoes immediately after birth.
