With the success of the FMR® (Forged Monoblok Rim) technology on series like the S1SC, we are happy to announce another first for HRE. We are now offering FMR-X barrels as an option across all our existing three-piece wheel series. Starting in diameters ranging from 19 to 22-inches, and eventually expanding from 17 to 24-inches, these latest offerings from HRE meld the structural benefits of a forged Monoblok wheel with the aesthetic of a modular wheel.

HRE created this new forged rim offering for customers with the flexibility to order any three-piece style in FMR-X. Existing HRE customers will also be able to reconfigure older three-piece HRE forged wheels into new two-piece barrels for added strength and security while not compromising on fitment or performance. With this expansion of the FMR® line, HRE’s two-piece wheels are now available to a much wider range of vehicles.

The new FMR-X lip design is styled after existing lip profiles on three-piece barrels for a seamless transition between formats. Additional rim lip styles are available depending on application.

Renowned for informed design, impeccable craftsmanship, and on-track performance, HRE has been at the forefront of wheel engineering for over 40 years. Its proprietary two-piece forged barrel named FMR® debuted on the Series S1SC in 2019 and is just one example of the company’s innovative approach to wheel design. Given the inherent structural benefits of forged and machined construction methodology, the new FMR-X barrel maintains the original FMR® qualities of increased stiffness, an appreciable reduction in mass, higher concentricity, and eliminates the air seal required of traditional three-piece wheels.
