Описание: Yilun Song's "Feather" is an intimate orchestral work shaped by memory, reflection, and quiet emotional contrast.

Written initially as a spontaneous piano improvisation, "Feather" began as a personal response to loss - a moment of processing, remembrance, and stillness. Rather than revising or reshaping that first idea, the original piano part became the emotional foundation of the piece.

As the music evolved, the orchestral arrangement was approached with the same sense of restraint. Delicate strings and carefully chosen winds were used to expand the emotional space without overwhelming it, allowing the music to remain light, airy, and transparent. Subtle colours - including harp, and a small woodwind presence - add warmth and texture while preserving a sense of intimacy.
