Between the towns of Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs there's an area Known as the Indo Hills. It has some unique geological features for this part of the desert. It reminds me of a miniature Anza Borrego with its many sandy trails and slot canyons. With all the trails running off in every direction here I'm guessing the place used to be huge for all manner of off-road vehicle. There are now many signs saying "No off highway vehicles" so It looks like those days are a thing of the past. Be careful if you plan on visiting here in a Subaru it's very easy to get struck in many sand traps. If you want to follow the path shown in the video make sure to download the track file to use with your favorite navigation app and stick to the path very carefully.
