Join a panel of four University of Washington scholars as they explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is being applied to solve real-world challenges. The session will begin with a brief introduction to UW, followed by each professor sharing their research in 5-minute presentations:
Dr. Diksa Shukla: AI for security, privacy, and trustworthy digital interactions, including wearables and biometrics.
Dr. Ben Koger: AI with drone, satellite, and ground imagery to study wildlife populations and behavior.
Dr. Vinit Katariya: Real-time embedded AI for smart cities and intelligent transportation systems.
Dr. Andrew Kirby: AI and supercomputing for simulations to improve wind farm and aviation propeller design.
