Dave discusses the recording process, guitar effects used, the Ska and Disco influences in some of his playing, the development of both his and Andy Partridge's guitar parts and how they complimented each other, the guitars used and even specific overdubs.
We get an interesting insight into how Dave thinks about music and the important role he played during his time with XTC. Dave also demonstrates his parts on the actual guitars he recorded with for the chosen songs, taking us through his vintage collection of guitars.
