Описание: Learn from the pros on how to make twelve months of farm production possible in the Midwest!

Since 2010, LarryVille Gardens in Burlington, WI has been providing Certified Naturally Grown produce that is as flavorful as it is nourishing. Owner and operator Michelle Cannon believes that caring for the soil is just as important as feeding our families and communities, and her work reflects that deep commitment.

Join the Milwaukee Urban Agriculture Network (MUAN) for this informative webinar where LarryVille farmers Michelle Cannon and Morgan Sisson share how they grow and sell food year-round on just 5 acres in southern Wisconsin. Drawing on years of experience, they introduce participants to the farm goals, infrastructure, labor systems, and marketing strategies that make twelve months of production possible.

"I began LarryVille Gardens in 2008, with the start of our local farmers market. I understood little but that organic was the way and that my soil was in a bad way. After a few years, I wanted to earn throughout winter as well and had two friends loan me the money for a greenhouse. I chose a moveable tunnel that would serve winter and summer. My trusty well used Elliot Coleman Winter Growers Handbook at my side and 15 years later a ton of hard learned lessons and I’m feeding many families every day of the year! Morgan Sisson arrived in 2020, with Covid…and joined me in learning and working to provide food for families in our area. Just in time too, I’m getting old you know! This job is hard. It’s got so many drawbacks, if ease is your goal. My goal is being the best steward of this land, and feeding families.
