1）Fosun International Enters into Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Natixis CIB
On 16 January 2025, Fosun International Limited and Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (“Natixis CIB”) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement, committing to collaborate closely in support of Fosun International and its subsidiaries’ future development strategies.
Under the strategic cooperation agreement, Natixis CIB will fully leverage its strengths in specialized fields, its operations in Europe and the Americas, and its expertise in boutique investment banking mergers and acquisitions. With its high credit ratings and long-term stable funding sources, Natixis CIB will provide Fosun with the best consulting and financial services in areas such as financing, transaction structuring, and risk hedging. 


2）Chen Qiyu, Standing Committee Member of the Shanghai CPPCC, Proposes: Building Shanghai's "Origin Innovation" Ecosystem
On the January 14, the Third Session of the 14th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened. During this session, Chen Qiyu, a Standing Committee Member of the Shanghai CPPCC and Co-CEO of Fosun International, submitted four proposals, actively offering his suggestions and contributions.
Innovation is the keyword in Chen Qiyu's proposals during this session. There are three important points. First, origin innovation. Shanghai has a solid foundation in scientific research, excellent clinical conditions and significant capital accumulation. Second, Shanghai’s biopharmaceutical innovation should be globally oriented. From the project initiation stage, we should not only focus on the Chinese market but also have a global vision. Third, Shanghai's biopharmaceutical industry should leverage its comprehensive advantages across the industrial chain, strengthening each segment to pave the way for innovation.


3）Xu Xiaoliang, Shanghai Municipal People's Congress Deputy, Proposes: Deep Integration of Culture, Tourism, and Commerce to Stimulate New Drivers of Urban Consumption
On January 15, the Third Session of the 16th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress was inaugurated at the Shanghai World Expo Center. During the session, Xu Xiaoliang, a Shanghai Municipal People's Congress Deputy and Co-CEO of Fosun International, submitted two proposals: "Suggestions on Developing New Quality Productive Forces in Culture and Tourism to Support Shanghai in Becoming a World-Class Culture and Tourism Destination" and "Suggestions on Enhancing Urban Cultural Soft Power Through ‘Oriental lifestyle aesthetic”.

On January 16, a special deliberation was held during the session. Xu Xiaoliang delivered a thematic speech on "Focusing on Stimulating Cultural Innovation and Creativity to Deepen the Development of an International Cultural Metropolis", He stated: "By interpreting cultural innovation through content, embodying it through scenes, and empowering it with technology, a multi-faceted approach can certainly better stimulate the cultural innovation vitality of Shanghai and support its development as an international cultural metropolis”.

On January 11, the One Fosun 2025 Annual Conference was held under the theme "Innovate with Focus, Multiplying Global Growth." 5）Henlius Join Hands with Abbott Again to Expand Multiple Biologics in Emerging Markets
Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc. entered into product license and supply agreement with Abbott on January 13th, granting it exclusive or semi-exclusive licenses for the commercialization of four self-developed biosimilars and one innovative biologic in 69 emerging markets in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as Middle East and Africa.
