Pieris 'Forest Flame' is my favourite pieris. It has wonderful bright red young foliage in the spring and lovely clusters of small. bell-like white flowers. My gardening books says this pieris rarely flowers but mine flowered last year and it was glorious.
Pieris 'Forest Flame' likes partial shade and acid soil. If you are growing it in a pot, use ericaceous compost.
You don't need to prune pieris but if it gets straggly or out of shape prune it just above a leaf after flowering.
