BACK ONLINE IN 2025!! 🤩 The Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Comeback Story 💪

As I mentioned in the video, here is some additional intel:

[ DNS NETWORK SETTINGS ]
When you first select "PLAY ONLINE" from the main menu, the game will ask for a Network Setting to use. Create a new one, leave everything on default, except for DNS which you'll have to manually set to: 128.140.0.23

This is so the game connects to OpenSpy instead of the now defunct GameSpy.

If you're playing on an Emulator/PCSX2, you also do this in the game, not in the Emulator's Network settings! The only thing you need to do in your PCSX2 Network settings is to enable the Ethernet connection, set "Device Type" to "Sockets" and select your Ethernet device (that's the connection your PC uses to connect to the internet). Leave the other settings on default.

(Note: It is advised to use the latest "Nightly Build" from the PCSX2 website: https://pcsx2.net)

After connecting you can create a new GameSpy/OpenSpy account and start playing. You only have to do this once, as the network settings can be saved for future use.

[ NOTE REGARDING PAL / NTSC COMPATIBILITY ]
All NTSC versions are compatible with the new servers. That is, US/Canada/Japan/Korea should all work out of the box.
At the time of making this video, European PAL versions require a patch to be able to connect. As this is an ongoing process, the most up-to-date info can be found on the Discord server. If you have access to an NTSC version, it is advised to use that for now.

[ XBOX / XBOX360 COMPATIBILITY ]
For the time being only the original PS2 version is playable online again.
When and IF the Xbox/Xbox360 versions will become playable again is unknown at this point. Only the PS2 servers have been resurrected.
