Описание: The ETR 324, ETR 425 and ETR 526 trains, nicknamed Jazz by Trenitalia, are electric trains produced by Alstom purchased by Trenitalia and Trenord.
They are the third generation of Coradia Meridian electric trains, after Minuetto and ETR245/ETR234.

These electric trains, built by Alstom Ferroviaria in the Savigliano plants, with the relative mechanical part developed in the Sesto San Giovanni and Bologna plants, are equipped with four engines that can make the train reach a speed of 160 km/h (125 km/h under 1.5 kV catenary). The trainset can be powered at either 3 kV DC or 1.5 kV DC.
The Jazz electric trains are equipped with a low floor in the central part of the bodies (a solution already adopted with the Minuetto trains), to allow better bodywork. The trainsets are also equipped with external and internal cameras. Externally, the cars feature the DPR livery.

The three versions of this electric train differ from each other both in the number of carriages and in the internal layout, depending on the service performed:
ETR 324 (4-car trainsets)
Regio Express version: 202 seats + 145 standing (order of Trenitalia).
ETR 425 (5-car trainsets)
Basic version: 290 seats + 117 standing (order of Trenitalia);
Airport version: 253 seats + 158 standing (order of Trenitalia);
Metropolitan version: 253 seats + 215 standing (order of Trenitalia);
Version with 250 seats + 177 standing (Trenord order for Lombardy), with RegioExpress interior fittings and Trenord livery; officially they do not bear the name Jazz.
ETR 526 (6-car trainsets)
Version with 302 seats + 209 standing (order of Ferrovienord), with RegioExpress interior fittings and Trenord livery; officially they do not bear the name Jazz.
Version with 282 seats + transport of 20 bicycles (order of Trenitalia for the Autonomous Province of Trento)
