Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant with anxiolytic and sedative properties. It inhibits presynaptic reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin in CNS.

It is available as 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg and 150 mg tablets. And also available as injection.

Amitriptyline is used for Depression.
