In 2008 Jason Mercier was already an accomplished online poker pro, but no one knew that he was about to kick off one of the hottest streaks in poker history.
It was during a hand with wealthy French amateur Eric Koskas, a player that had been bluffing a lot and had a very wild image. Koskas attempted a daring multi-barrel bluff that, even with his crazy image, put Mercier to a serious test.
Now, seven years later, Mercier walks us through the hand and explains what was going through his head when decided to call.
Since winning that tournament, Mercier has racked up over $14 million more in live tournament earnings. And it all could have gone differently if Mercier hadn't pulled the trigger on one of the best calls anyone had ever seen.
