A shocking theft has rocked devotees after a major robbery at a temple in Ganjam district.
Gold, silver ornaments and the temple hundi worth over ₹50 lakh have been stolen overnight.

The incident took place at a Hanuman temple in Chatrapur area, where miscreants broke open the locks and looted valuable ornaments, including gold decorations and silver items of deities.

The hundi, which had reportedly not been opened for several years, was also taken away by the accused. CCTV footage of the incident has been captured, showing the criminals with covered faces.

Police have reached the spot and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the culprits.

This incident has raised serious concerns over temple security and safety of religious places.
