Controversy swirled around this 1983 sitcom, claiming a black actor was cast as the 'slave' of a white guy. In the show he's actually a genie, and star TK Carter wondered out loud why nobody asked HIM before mounting protests. Still a threatened boycott of the network led to changes, like eliminating the terms 'master' and 'servant' (which somebody should have thought of beforehand). The theme is by Joseph Conlan and Barry DeVorzon.
