This is a great guitar model which sadly fell victim to the closure of the Memphis plant that resulted from poor management decisions at Gibson.
You may or may not know that Gibson, citing falling guitar sales, opted to use its cash to purchase other businesses to have diversity. Unfortunately, they purchased failing businesses, which then led them to re-finance and sell off assets, making the Memphis plant close.
So, this wonderful guitar, which was both affordable and exceptional, was made for around one and a half years. I am certain they will command very good prices when they are ten years old or so, after people discover what was really lost here.
I have recently sold this guitar in November 2022 as I have become a Telecaster guy and had to thin the herd. I have no idea if I will one day regret the sale. I hope not. It is a great guitar, and compared to many other US-manufactured Gibsons, these are very affordable.
