A short description/sampling of a mystical statue park in the heart of Finland's eastern border.
The life's work of Finland's most famous ITE artist can be found in Parikkala, along Highway 6. The magnificent work ensemble, which has also risen internationally to the ranks of the world's scariest sites, is the result of over 50 years of artistic work by Veijo Rönkkönen (1944–2010). Parikkala Sculpture Park is a masterpiece by Veijo Rönkkönen, presenting the artist's work spanning over 50 years, in which 560 multifaceted statues adorn Highway 6 in Parikkala.
