This was reiterated during a special event of the send-forth of the Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov held at the National Assembly.

Over the years, Nigeria and Bulgaria have been actively strengthening their diplomatic and bilateral relations, focusing on areas such as trade, education, security, and development cooperation.

These initiatives reflect a commitment from both nations to sustain and deepen their diplomatic ties, fostering mutual growth and cooperation.

At the heart of this relationship in recent years is the outgoing Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Yanko Yordanov.

Under his leadership, Bulgaria and Nigeria have significantly enhanced their bilateral relations, particularly in trade, education, defense, and culture.

Stakeholders say nations like Nigeria — backed by strong foreign partnerships could shape everything from global trade to tech and climate leadership in the decades ahead.

In his four years of service here in Nigeria the outgoing Bulgarian Ambassador has been able to visit 22 out of the 36 States of our country; And he has this to say about Nigeria.

He continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening Bulgaria’s diplomatic ties with Nigeria and other West African nations.
