After doing the Caingorme Loop on the Tout Terrain Outback I just wanted to do a quick video to highlight why I am so convinced by the Pinion gearbox, Gates Carbon Drive and Tout Terrain.
There will be a full review of the Tout Terrain Scrambler coming up and a video of the Caingorme Loop.
Basically the advantages are:
1) You can shift stationary
2) You can shift whist going through technical terrain without moving the pedals do you can get ready for the next bit of technical
3) Completely sealed gearbox and belt system that needs zero maintenance
4) Completely clean
People say these are negatives but I don’t think they even exist.
1) Weight - it replaces many components do the difference is small and who cares about weight anyway, only people brainwashed by marketing.
2) The shifter - Just stated above why it is an advantage
3) Drag - I don’t detect any!
